APT Inks BBC Food Deal for New Scandinavian Cooking

BOSTON/LONDON, February 7: APT Worldwide has licensed the
South African, Scandinavian and Middle Eastern basic and pay cable and
satellite rights for two seasons of New Scandinavian Cooking to BBC Worldwide for broadcast on BBC Food.

Produced by Tellus Works, New Scandinavian Cooking showcases the traditions, sceneries and cuisines of
Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The deal with BBC Worldwide includes the third
season of New Scandinavian Cooking
with Andreas Viestad, respected
food journalist and the author of award-winning cookbooks. The agreement also
includes the first season of New Scandinavian Cooking with Claus Meyer, a professor of foodstuff science and the co-owner
of a Michelin star restaurant. The series will premiere on BBC Food in
May.

A Swedish edition of the series, New Scandinavian Cooking
with Tina Nordstrom,
was recently licensed
by Madrid-based Sogecable’s pay-TV channel Viajar for cable and satellite
broadcast in Spain, Portugal and Andorra.
