AOL Video Ramps Up Content Offerings

DULLES, August 24: AOL will offer full-length movie
downloads on its AOL Video service, with agreements in place with most of the
major studios, and has expanded its television slate with deals with Sony and
Fox.

AOL Video already has some 17 video content partnerships in
place and more than 45 on-demand channels. Available at www.aolvideo.com, the
AOL Video portal is positioning itself as a one-stop shop for free streaming
and pay-to-download content.

Recent DVD releases and library features from 20th Century
Fox, NBC Universal, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Home
Entertainment Group will be available for purchase from $9.99 to $19.99 per
movie. Once downloaded, movies can be viewed offline as well as on other PCs
and compatible portable devices.

AOL Video has also expanded its slate of television
offerings, taking content from Fox Entertainment Group and Sony Pictures Home
Entertainment. The Fox Entertainment Group titles will be available in the
coming months for paid download within five new on-demand channels. The FOX
channel will offer full-length episodes series such as 24, Prison Break and Bones. The Fox
Classic Television channel will serve up library shows like Buffy the
Vampire Slayer
and Hill St. Blues. The other three channels will deliver original
series from the cable networks FX, Speed and Fuel TV.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be programming two new
on-demand channels on AOL Video, featuring free, ad-supported television
content. Additional channels programmed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment are
planned for the coming months. The AXN channel offers full-length episodes from
retro classics including Charlie's Angels,
Starsky & Hutch, and SWAT, while FunnyBone will showcase sitcoms like the
acclaimed but cancelled Action.
