LONDON/NEW YORK: Animate Chapman is a new global animation competition that challenges creators to animate pieces from Graham Chapman’s Monty Python sketches, coinciding with the release of the new feature film A Liar’s Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman.

The competition is open to students, amateurs and professional animators. The filmmakers, Trinity, Brainstorm and EPIX are sponsoring the contest with Adobe. Eight audio clips have been chosen from Chapman’s work. The animators can then visualize the pieces in their own style and technique using Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium software. Entrants upload their final animation to the official A Liar’s Autobiography Facebook page. Ten winners will be selected, all of which will receive a copy of Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium and will be showcased on PythonLine and the Monty Python YouTube channel. Each winner will be considered as an extra for the film’s official DVD.
