Anderson Joins News Corp.

LONDON, March 17: News
Corporation has appointed Matthew Anderson as the group director of strategy
and corporate affairs for Europe and Asia, effective April 15.

In his new role,
Anderson will pursue a wide remit supporting the operations of the company in
the areas of marketing, communications, strategy, corporate and public affairs
and corporate responsibility. In addition, News International’s
corporate-affairs function will report to him directly. He will report to James
Murdoch, the chairman and CEO of Europe and Asia for News Corp.

Anderson joins News
Corp. from BSkyB, where he most recently served as the group director of
communications and brand marketing.

“Matthew’s considerable
experience across Europe and Asia combined with his ability to help companies
stand out and grow will be a huge asset as News Corp. continues its growth in
key regions,” said Murdoch. “I am pleased that he will also play an important
role in international strategy at a time of significant opportunity for the
business.”

Anderson commented: “Few
companies so consistently and effectively challenge the status quo as News
Corp. does. News is changing the business of media in some of the biggest and
most competitive marketplaces in the world—from Indian cable television
to the U.K. newspaper business. I look forward to being part of it.”
