Amplify Pictures Greenlights Comedy Series Mt. Mystic

Mt. Mystic, a new comedy series starring and written by Jeremiah Dunlap and Cory Quintar, has been greenlit by Amplify Pictures.

“Joe Lewis and the entire Amplify Pictures team are the perfect partners for Mt. Mystic, and they understood the vision from day one,” said Dunlap and Quintard. “We’ve been working on this show for six years, and to finally see the first season come to life is a dream come true. It feels like the perfect time for a slightly ridiculous look into the world of park rangers, who dedicate their lives to protecting our beautiful parks and our right to enjoy them, which thankfully still exists.”

The six-part series is directed by Dunlap and is based on Dunlap and Quintard’s self-funded comedy YouTube pilot, Mt. Mystic Rangers.

The ensemble cast also features Beta Angarole, Josh Black, Tenea Intriago, Mindy Lopez, Robyn Quintard and Moiba Mustapha. Writers include Jeremiah Dunlap, Seth Dunlap, John David Harris, Mindy Lopez, Cory Quintard, Robyn Quintard and Lauren Starr.

Mt. Mystic is produced by Amplify Pictures and Foundry Mass. The series is executive produced by Lewis, Rachel Eggebeen, Colin King Miller and Luke Esselen for Amplify Pictures and Jeremiah Dunlap and Cory Quintard for Foundry Mass. Andrew Secunda also serves as an executive producer for Foundry Mass.

Mt. Mystic follows a dysfunctional team of park rangers as they face budget cuts, drama and chaos—both natural and supernatural—in the most unpredictable state park on earth. Production is set to start next year.

“We’re thrilled to be producing Mt. Mystic with Jeremiah and Corey,” said Lewis, Amplify Pictures CEO. “It’s hilarious, inventive and shows how independent series can thrive on platforms like YouTube. Amplify is excited to help lead the shift as creators, digital distribution and television start to work together to create the next generation of hits.”
