American Express Named MIPTV Brand of the Year

PARIS: American Express is the recipient of the first-ever MIPTV Brand of the Year award, recognized for its commitment and innovation in the field of branded entertainment.

American Express ranked as the 24th most valuable brand of the year in 2010 by Interbrand. It has been using creative original branded entertainment to digitally connect its card members to a variety of events and experiences. Initiatives include "Unstaged: An Original Series from American Express," created in partnership with YouTube and Vevo; "My Movie Pitch," which collaborated with the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival; and "American Express Skybox Report," featuring insights from top stylists and designers. American Express has also created innovative content supporting branded marketing campaigns featuring Conan O’Brien, Ellen DeGeneres, M. Night Shyamalan and Jerry Seinfield.

The first MIPTV Brand of the Year Award will be presented to Marie Devlin, the senior VP of global advertising, media and sponsorships at American Express, during the Branded Entertainment keynote on April 5 at 5:15 p.m.
