NEW YORK/LOS ANGELES: In the run-up to the premiere of The Walking Dead, AMC and Fox International Channels (FIC) have planned a worldwide promotional event that will see hundreds of zombies flooding the streets of major cities during morning commute peak hours.

FIC will kick off the stunts with overseas invasions starting tomorrow at daybreak in Taipei and Hong Kong, moving across the globe, to Istanbul, Madrid, Munich, London, Sao Paolo, Buenos Aires, New York City and Los Angeles, among others. The multi-city event will see global outbreaks of zombie invasions in and around the world’s major landmarks, including the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City, the Lincoln Monument in Washington D.C., Big Ben in London, the Prado Museum in Madrid, the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul, the Acropolis in Athens and more. The stunt will cover a total of 26 cities. Video and photo assets documenting the stunt will be delivered as released on the day of the stunt.

The Walking Dead premieres on Halloween day in the U.S. The series will then premiere globally a few hours after AMC’s launch. Similar to a theatrical film release, all FIC markets will launch the first episode during the same week. The series will debut in 120 countries.
