Amberwood’s The Snow Queen Receives ACT Award

OTTAWA, June 7: Amberwood Productions’ live-action
animated special The Snow Queen,
which was produced for the BBC in the U.K. and CBC in Canada, has received an
award from The Alliance for Children and Television in the All Genres category
for kids 9-12.

Based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, The
Snow Queen features live-action
actors on CG backgrounds. The Snow Queen was co-produced by Amberwood Productions with the U.K.’s Total Eclipse
Television and is set to a score by composer Paul K. Joyce. The Snow Queen has aired on both SRC in Canada and PBS in the U.S.
BBC Worldwide holds distribution rights for the remainder of the world.
