All3Media International Unveils MIPCOM Lineup

All3Media International is bringing to MIPCOM a packed scripted and unscripted slate, including the upcoming factual titles Michael Jackson: Life on Trial (w.t.) and The Moonies: Married to the Cult (w.t.).

The former, from Wonderhood Studios, will deliver a re-examination of Michael Jackson’s 2005 trial. The latter, from Story Films, will provide unprecedented access to insiders of the Moonies.

The unscripted slate also features American Prince: JFK Jr., a three-part series about John F. Kennedy, Jr. EverWonder Studio’s documentary provides unprecedented archive footage and access to his life and legacy.

“Steeped in vivid ’90s nostalgia and featuring A-list contributors, including Robert De Niro and Cindy Crawford, the series transports audiences back to the halcyon days of 1990s New York while also offering compelling contemporary history and biography that expands on the broader Kennedy legacy,” says Peta Sykes, VP for the Nordics.

The documentary “will appeal to those looking for both a glamorous and escapist watch—the series transports audiences back to the halcyon days of 1990s New York,” adds Jennifer Askin, executive VP of the Americas at All3Media International. “It’s a fascinating story about a long-lost prince.”

In entertainment, the lineup includes season two of Bad Boyfriends, which Sykes bills as “a fantastic addition to our Olivia Attwood slate.”

In lifestyle, the company is touting Wild Homes with George Clarke and Beyond Bali: The World’s Most Exotic Islands, while the history slate is led by Rich Lives, Poor Lives with Rob Rinder and Ruth Goodman. In true crime, meanwhile, there’s Hunting the Yorkshire Ripper from Story Films. Also available is Silverback Films’ Hidden Wild Isles.

On the drama slate, Trespasses, set in 1970s Belfast, tells the story of Cushla, who meets and dives into an affair with a married Protestant barrister.

“Wildgaze Films, the team behind Brooklyn and An Education, bring Louise Kennedy’s best-selling novel to life in a captivating TV adaptation starring Lola Petticrew (Say Nothing), Tom Cullen (The Gold) and Gillian Anderson (The Crown),” Askin says.

Additional titles on the scripted slate include Summerwater from Freedom Pictures; Secret Service from Potboiler Films; Babies from Snowed-In Productions and The Money Men; and I Fought the Law from Hera Pictures. Plus, there will be new seasons on offer for Trigger Point from HTM; All Creatures Great and Small from Playground; Brokenwood Mysteries; Ridley; and Mystery Road: Origin.

A new format available from Studio Lambert, The Inheritance is a reality game of wit, willpower, persuasion and betrayal where a group of strangers are lured by one irresistible opportunity: to inherit a chunk of a vast fortune.

“Set in a vivid, glamorous setting, this reality competition format has the power to attract A-list talent, with Elizabeth Hurley fronting the recently launched U.K. version,” Askin notes.

Alongside The Inheritance, All3Media International’s formats slate features The Traitors, which already has local versions in over 30 territories, and The Circle, also from Studio Lambert.

Also, the company continues to see traction on Cash Cab, “a feel-good, hugely entertaining quiz show that is brilliantly easy to play along with,” says Micah Hewson, VP for Australia and New Zealand. Plus, Rise and Fall is available, as is the scripted comedy format Step Dave.
