Alfred Haber Takes SAG Awards

HARRINGTON PARK: Alfred Haber Distribution, Inc. (AHDI) has secured the international distribution rights for the 16th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, set to air January 23, 2010.

The two-hour event honors the best individual and ensemble performances in film and television. The SAG Awards will be simulcast on TNT and TBS in the U.S.

AHDI licensed the 15th annual SAG Awards to, among others, Canwest Global in Canada, Kanal 4 in Sweden, PMP-Showtime in Australia, VTM in Belgium, ABS-CBN in the Philippines, ProSieben in Germany, FOX in Japan, Turner in Latin America and Rede Record in Brazil.

"The Screen Actors Guild Awards has become one of the most exciting and highly anticipated shows during the film and television industry’s awards season," commented Alfred Haber, the founder of AHDI. "This is the only awards show in which more than 100,000 Screen Actors Guild members vote for their peers’ work. This is the ultimate accolade…actors honoring actors."

Kathy Connell, the producer of the SAG Awards, added, "The Screen Actors Guild Awards recognizes the year’s finest performances from around the world. After Guild members cast their ballots, actors from Australia, Great Britain, India and the United States were honored among this year’s Actor recipients. We appreciate the work AHDI has done to expand the global viewership for the SAG Awards and look forward to sharing our celebration of acting at its best with an even wider international audience in the future."
