Akimbo Names COO, CFO

SAN MATEO, October 16: Akimbo Systems, which specializes in
VOD delivery over the Internet, has tapped the former president of On Demand
Media Group, Neil Goldberg, as its COO and Peter Chantel, previously with Sony
Signatures Network, as its CFO.

Goldberg is spearheading Akimbo’s new programming strategy,
which includes the creation and expansion of branded programming categories or
“channels.” These currently include Anime, Health & Wealth, Uncensored TV,
GLBT and Family & Fun. He is also charged with the company’s international
expansion.

Chantel, as CFO, is responsible for all accounting and
finance functions.

The new appointments follow that of Thomas F. Frank, who was
named CEO last April. The company is expected to announce further management
changes as a result of its new business focus and strategy in the coming weeks.
