BURBANK: Robin Agranoff has been promoted to VP of programming at Disney Channels, while continuing her current responsibilities for programming planning and scheduling at the flagship Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney and ABC Kids.

Agranoff joined Disney Channel in 2005 as director of program planning and acquisitions for Disney Channel, its learning-focused preschool block Playhouse Disney (soon to be rebranded as Disney Junior) and ABC Kids. She was later promoted to executive director of programming planning, scheduling and acquisitions. In her new post, Agranoff reports to Paul DeBenedittis, the senior VP of programming strategy for Disney Channels Worldwide.

DeBenedittis said: "This well deserved promotion recognizes Robin’s dedication, her passion for kids programming and consistent creative scheduling strategies that most recently delivered Disney Channel to its most-watched year in the network’s history in total viewers and among the kid demographics we serve."
