AETN International Closes New Asian Deals

NEW YORK: AETN International is continuing to drive its Asian business, clinching new deals with BS-TBS and Nippon TV in Japan and appointing a new sales executive for the region.

In the first quarter alone, AETN International sold more than 450 hours to 25-plus broadcasters in Asia. It has now signed an output deal with BS-TBS that covers HISTORY programming for the BS History Hour block; and an agreement with Nippon TV for the acclaimed series Life After People.

The company has appointed Joanne Lim to the position of content sales executive for Asia, based in Singapore and overseeing business in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. She reports to Ling Sze Gan, content sales director for Asia.
