A+E Networks Lines Up New Offerings

NEW YORK: More than 550 hours of new programming will be on offer at MIPCOM from A+E Networks, from a catalogue that features 9,500-plus hours across a number of genres.

In the way of real-life programs, A+E Networks is highlighting Dance Moms, which explores the world of competitive dance, where mothers are pushing their daughters to the extreme; Monster In-Laws, looking at married couples who are fed up with their overbearing in-laws; and Picker Sisters, which features Tanya McQueen and Tracy Hutson finding bargain items to fill their new home story. History programming is also top of the list, including Raising the Titanic, which commemorates the 100th anniversary of the ship’s fateful voyage. History of the World in Two Hours, a CGI/3D special that tells a 14-billion year history of our world in two hours. There’s also crime programming, in the way of The First 48: Missing Persons. The 7×1-hour series follows the detectives of the Chicago Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit.
