ABC Sets Summer Schedule

BURBANK: The Bachelorette, Here Come the Newlyweds and Wipeout are among the series returning to ABC’s schedule this summer, alongside a trio of new shows.

The Bachelorette will kick off with a special two-hour premiere on May 18 at 9 p.m., resuming a regular Monday, 8 p.m. slot on May 25. Also on May 25, the romantic comedy Here Come the Newlyweds returns for a second season at 10 p.m. The hit obstacle-course competition Wipeout heads into its second season on May 27 at 8 p.m., followed by the premiere of the new animated series from Mike Judge, The Goode Family, at 9 p.m. 

Also new to ABC’s grid, The Superstars, which pits athletes from all different sports against each other, will debut on June 23 at 8 p.m., while I Survived a Japanese Game Show launches into its second season on July 8 at 9 p.m. The new Endemol USA/Talpa Content format Dating in the Dark, which asks the age-old question "Is love blind?", launches July 20 at 10 p.m.

Pushing Daisies will play out its remaining episodes from May 30 through June 13 at 10 p.m., as will Eli Stone from June 20 through July 11 at 10 p.m. and Dirty Sexy Money from July 18 through August 8 at 10 p.m. The comedy Surviving Suburbia will move to a new night and time as of May 27, airing behind The Goode Family at 9:30 p.m.
