ABC Family Snaps Up Jane By Design

BURBANK: ABC Family has picked up the hour-long scripted drama Jane By Design, which is set to premiere in early 2012.

The series centers on Jane, a teenager who scores a job at a trendy retail company when employers mistake her for an adult. The teen must juggle her life as a high-school student with her new career as an assistant to a fashion executive, while keeping her ruse a secret. Jane By Design stars Erica Dasher of The Lake, Nicholas Roux of Lemonade Mouth and Rowly Dennis of Desperate Housewives, among others. Exec producers include Gavin Polone. @font-face {

Jane By Design joins ABC Family’s four previously announced series pickups set to launch this summer, including the one-hour dramas The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Switched at Birth and The Lying Game, and the half-hour comedy series State of Georgia (formerly The Great State of Georgia).
