The show launched as ABC Family’s number one series debut ever in adults 18 to 34, women 18 to 34, viewers 12 to 34, females 12 to 34, teens and female teens. Three episodes in and the show is already on top for Tuesdays in female teens and is Tuesday’s number one cable series in teens, viewers 12 to 34 and females 12 to 34. The series is based on the best-selling novels by Sara Shepard. It’s produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television.

Pretty Little Liars is a break-out hit for the network,” said Kate Juergens, the executive VP of original programming and development at ABC Family. “We’re thrilled that our Millennial viewers have responded so strongly to the show. It’s a perfect fit with the network’s strong slate of original scripted dramas, including The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Make It or Break It.”
