ABC Announces Early Pickups for 14 Shows

BURBANK, March 22: ABC has given early 2007-08 pickups to 14
series, including three freshman shows: Brothers & Sisters, Men in Trees and Ugly Betty.

Rounding out the renewals are the returning productions The
Bachelor
, Boston Legal, Dancing with the Stars, Desperate Housewives, Lost,
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Grey's
Anatomy
and Jimmy Kimmel Live. They join the previously announced renewals for
America's Funniest Home Videos
, Supernanny and Wife Swap.

"We have had a strong year, with two of the season's
breakout hits, Ugly Betty and Brothers
& Sisters
, and the solid performance of
Men in Trees," said Stephen
McPherson, the president of ABC Entertainment. "We are pleased that
viewers have invested in these new favorites along with our other returning
series. These shows provide us with a substantial foundation to make 07-08 our
best schedule yet."
