New Worldwide Sales Chief at Power

LONDON: Randall Broman is taking up the post of president of worldwide sales at Power, succeeding Chris Philip, who is leaving the company to start a new venture.

Broman was part of the sales team at Power from 2004 to 2008, before leaving to become VP of international sales at RHI Entertainment. Announcing Broman’s appointment, Justin Bodle, the CEO and chairman of Power, noted: “We are going into a phase of huge projected growth and we are absolutely thrilled to have Randall to head up the team at this critical time." Power’s slate for MIPCOM includes The Day of the Triffids for BBC One, The Devil’s Mistress, for Channel 4; the 13-part network series Crusoe for NBC and XIII: The Conspiracy starring Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorff.

Philip will continue as a consultant at Power until December. He joined the U.K.-based producer and distributor two years ago after more than a decade at NBC Universal. As president of worldwide sales at Power, Philip drove the company’s expansion into the U.S.—including the sale of XII: The Conspiracy to NBC. His tenure also saw the establishment of new regional offices in Miami and Singapore as well as a home-entertainment division, and the creation of a new-media post. His new venture will be involved in packaging content globally, co-productions and distribution.
