Telefilm Canada Appoints Director of TV Business

MONTREAL: Telefilm Canada has named Roxane Girard as the director of its television business unit. 

Girard was previously director of television for the French market, a role she had held since April 2006. Girard specializes in funding for enterprises and projects in the cultural industries sector. Before joining the television team at Telefilm, she served as general manager of enterprise funding at the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles du Québec (SODEC). She also sat on the board of directors and investment board for both the Fonds d’investissement de la culture et des communications (FICC) and the Financière des entreprises culturelles (FIDEC).
