Zinkia Names New CEO

MADRID, January 21: Spanish animation outfit Zinkia has
appointed Fernando de Miguel as its new CEO, tapped to lead the company’s next
stage of growth.

De Miguel will be responsible for implementing new
operational and business structures, building upon existing global franchises
for the preschool series Pocoyo and Shuriken
School, advancing TV projects in
development and developing Zinkia’s video game production division.

For the past four months, de Miguel worked alongside the
senior management team in order to ensure a smooth transition.

“This is a
very exciting time to be joining Zinkia, which has quickly established itself
as a company synonymous with quality, creativity and commercial success,” said
de Miguel. “The multi-award winning Pocoyo has proved a huge international success, and
my privilege and challenge now is to build on this success and steer the
company forward to the next level. I am delighted to helm the company at this
