Latin Sales for Moonscoop

PARIS: A raft of deals have been closed in Latin America and the Caribbean by Moonscoop on titles such as Chloe’s Closet, Growing Up Creepie and Code Lyoko.

CBeebies in Latin America took on Chloe’s Closet, which is currently in production. The 2-D series follows an imaginative little girl named Chloe who discovers magical new worlds while playing dress-up in her closet.

Televideo went for Code Lyoko, Fantastic Four and Growing Up Creepie for Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Paraguay. CVM in Jamaica has picked up broadcast rights to Fantastic Four and Code Lyoko. Code Lyoko spotlights Yumi, Ulrich, Odd and Jeremy, who all lead doubles lives: ordinary students by day, action heroes in the virtual digital world. Fantastic Four, based on the classic Marvel characters, is an action-comedy animation series, co-produced by Moonscoop and Marvel, with the participation of Cartoon Network Europe and M6. Moonscoop-produced Growing up Creepie looks at a human girl who was raised by a family of bugs and is navigating the complexities of adolescence. The series already airs on Nickelodeon Latin America and Mexico.

Marie Conge, the senior VP of international sales at Moonscoop, said: “We’re very pleased to add a further outlet to the growing list of broadcasters snapping up new series Chloe’s Closet and also delighted that our established shows continue to be popular with buyers. These deals have given us a boost as we look to grow the presence of our programming on Latin American channels.”
