Fox Channels Italy Working on Six-Part Mini-Series

ROME: Fox Channels Italy has started production on The Monster of Florence, originally titled Il Mostro di Firenze, a 6×1-hour mini-series based on the true story of Italy’s most notorious and mysterious serial killer.

Based on the screenplay by Daniele Cesarano, Barbara Petronio and Leonardo Valenti, the drama looks at the 20-year investigation of the mysterious murders that spread panic through the Florence countryside between 1968 and 1985 and left eight young couples dead. Principal photography is underway in Turin and shooting has started in the Tuscan countryside. The series is set to premiere next fall on Fox Channels Italy’s own Fox Crime channel, and will be distributed internationally across the Fox International Channels regions.

Wilder is producing the project, with Antonello Grimaldi as director. The cast is led by Ennio Fantastichini, starring alongside, among others, Nicole Grimaudo, Giorgio Colangeli, Bebo Storti, Marco Giallini, Corso Salani and Duccio Camerini.
