TLC Lines Up Summer Slate

LOS ANGELES: TLC’s summer schedule kicks off on Memorial Day with a week of new series launches and the return of Jon & Kate Plus 8 and What Not to Wear

On May 25 at 9 p.m., the hit series Jon & Kate Plus 8 launches its fifth season. The show continues to follow the Gosselin family, comprised of parents Jon and Kate, plus 8-year-old twins and a set of sextuplets. Following at 10 p.m. is the premiere of the new series Cake Boss, centered on master baker Buddy Valastro as he struggles to make his bakery in Hoboken, New Jersey, a household name.

The Little Couple, following newlyweds Bill Klein and Jen Arnold, premieres on May 26 at 10 p.m. The new show picks up where the special Little People Just Married left off. It follows Bill, a successful businessman, and Jen, a pediatrician, who are both under four feet tall, will share their unique perspectives on life, love and marriage. Rounding out the week on May 29, all-new episodes of What Not to Wear will start airing at 9 p.m. Hosts Stacy London and Clinton Kelly return for a seventh season of the hit makeover and fashion-transformation series.

TLC will also air a brand-new special that takes viewers inside the world of high-end weddings as thrown by New York City’s premier event-planning company Fete. Wedded to Perfection follows the husband and wife team of Jung Lee and Josh Brooks, who help couples receive an unforgettable wedding event.
