UKTV Takes Rachel Zoe Reality Series

LONDON: NBC Universal International Television Distribution has sold the exclusive U.K. multichannel rights for The Rachel Zoe Project to UKTV to air on its soon-to-relaunch lifestyle channel Really.

The 6×1-hour observational-documentary series features celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe and her trusted inner circle—husband Rodger and fashion team Taylor and Brad. Originally produced by Original Media for Bravo in the U.S., the docudrama watches as they work to take Zoe’s business—which caters to celebrity clients the likes of Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Garner—to the next level. The Rachel Zoe Project will receive its U.K. premiere on Really on May 19, the day the channel launches. The show will air weekdays at 11 p.m.

UKTV’s acquisitions manager, Alexandra Finlay, said, “Really is all about offering viewers an honest insight into people’s lives and this fabulous new series does exactly that, lifting the lid on how Hollywood’s elite look so good on the red carpet. We’re on the look out for more titles like this that appeal to the channel’s target audience of young women.”

Really’s channel head, Clare Laycock, added, “This dazzling new series gives viewers a VIP pass to follow A-list stylist, Rachel Zoe, as she seeks out new looks for some of the world’s most beautiful women from some of the biggest designers—including Diane Von Fustenberg, Giorgio Armani and Oscar De La Renta—all while juggling her new design business and her marriage. It’s a fantastic look into a lifestyle filled with Hollywood parties, LA ‘It’ girls, magazine deadlines and some serious shopping. It’s so glamorous, you couldn’t make it up!”
