XYZ Takes Beyond Titles

SYDNEY: Three series from Beyond Distribution are making their way to XYZ Networks’ Lifestyle and Lifestyle Food channels, among them Chuck’s Day Off.

The 13×30-minute series, produced by Whalley-Abbey Media, follows chef Chuck Hughes as he spends his one day off each week cooking. Also included in the deal are seasons one and two of From the Ground Up. Another Whalley-Abbey Media production, the 26×1-hour show features Debbie Travis working with homeowners on decorating and design. Hot Property, a 10×30-minute series from Beyond Productions, caps off the package. The eighth season of the show continues to follow the fortunes of renters, buyers and builders negotiating the challenge of the real-estate market.

Deborah Huxley, the director of acquisitions for XYZ Networks, commented, "We are extremely excited to be securing content from Beyond Distribution. With their wealth of experience in producing property content, we are happy to continue with the Hot Property franchise. Our audience knows Debbie Travis well and we are sure they will be happy with her new show From the Ground Up and we look forward to introducing our audience to Chuck Hughes with his fabulous cooking show Chuck’s Day Off."

"This latest package of titles to XYZ features a mix of tried and true favorites such as the well-established and successful Hot Property series, together with vibrant new titles," added Katie Johnson, the VP of sales for Australasia at Beyond Distribution. "I’m sure the new properties Chuck’s Day Off and From the Ground Up will prove as successful with the Lifestyle audiences also."
