Jonas Brothers Series Debuts on Disney Channel in May

BURBANK: A comedy series starring the Jonas Brothers will have a multiplatform premiere on May 2 on Disney Channel.

Jonas, which stars recording artists Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas, Chelsea Staub (Minutemen), Nicole Anderson (Hannah Montana), John Ducey (Will and Grace) and Rebecca Creskoff (Mad Men), follows the fictional Lucas Brothers through the unexpected, unpredictable and often absurd situations that confront these rock and roll superstar brothers as they try to live ordinary lives.

The series will also feature original Jonas Brothers songs created especially for the show.

“The true test of artists is their willingness to stretch creatively—to tackle new challenges, said Gary Marsh, the president of entertainment at Disney Channels Worldwide. “The Jonas Brothers, already established as music superstars, have done just that with Jonas—by stretching beyond their established comfort zone into the world of television comedy. And what makes them great performers on the stage—their talent for relating to, and connecting with their audience—serves them perfectly as comedic actors.”

Exclusive full episode previews of Jonas will be available Saturday, April 25 via Disney Channel on Demand through Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Verizon, RCN, Blueridge, Wide Open West, Comspan, Knology/Prairiewave and Ntelos affiliates.

The premiere of Jonas on Saturday, May 2 will be simulcast on Sprint TV and MobiTV and available on Disney Channel’s website, which will also feature exclusive games, video and the “Jonas Videography,” a collection of Jonas Brothers music videos, interstitials, film and television clips.
