TV-Loonland Ramps Up Home Entertainment Slate

MUNICH/LONDON: TV-Loonland has acquired the worldwide home-entertainment rights, excluding the U.S. and Canada, to the brand-new 44-minute My Little Pony Twinkle Wish Adventure special, as well as the original animated Transformers Generation 1 series and the G.I. Joe—A Real American Hero animated series and feature film.

My Little Pony Twinkle Wish Adventure, which is currently in production, presents the new look of the My Little Pony range in traditional 2-D. Transformers Generation 1, with 98 26-minute episodes, is back in the TV-Loonland catalogue, chronicling the battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons. The rights for G.I. Joe—A Real American Hero encompass 95 26-minute episodes and a 94-minute feature film.

“We are thrilled to have secured the video distribution rights for such renowned and cherished brands around the world," said Olivier Dumont, TV-Loonland’s managing director. "Given the past success of all three brands and the attention drawn by the upcoming theatrical release of the Transformers  and G.I. Joe movies, we expect the series to fly off the shelves."
