Globo Productions to Air in East Timor

SÃO PAULO: Globo TV International has sealed a deal for 3,000 hours of varied programming with RTTL (Radio Television East Timor).

Starting this month until the end of 2014, viewers in Timor will have access to documentaries, telenovelas, children’s programs, comedy series and dramas produced by TV Globo in Brazil. RTTL will launch the telenovela Little Missy in the next few days. This year, the comedies The Cleaning Lady and Big Family will be shown, as well as the youth telenovelas Young Hearts and Pirlimpimpim, a production inspired by the literature of the Brazilian writer Monteiro Lobato.

"This deal is very important, so that we can continue to grow in strategic regions, like Asia, where the acceptance of our content grows everyday," commented Raphael Corrêa Netto, the director of International sales for Globo TV International.

In Asia, the company has already had its productions shown in countries like India, South Korea, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Indonesia.
