New MD for Endemol Netherlands

HILVERSUM: Peter Adrichem will succeed Paul Römer as managing director of Endemol Netherlands, with oversight for the company’s scripted, non-scripted and sport business units in the region.

Römer left the post in October and took up the role of global head of programming for the Endemol Group in January. In filling the post, Adrichem is responsible for overseeing the company’s creative and development activities. He will also chair the Board of Management. Adrichem was formerly managing director of SNP Holding, which is 100-percent owned by Endemol. He was in charge of the company’s various divisions, including Rene Stokvis Producties, 625 TV Produkties, TVBV and S&V Fiction.

Ynon Kreiz, the chairman and chief executive of Endemol Group, commented: "The Netherlands is one of  the world’s most progressive TV markets and Endemol Netherlands is the country’s number one producer. It is therefore vital to have someone of Peter’s caliber to drive the company forward into a new phase of growth and success. His talent, experience and track record make him the best executive to lead Endemol Netherlands and we are extremely pleased to have him in this role."

Adrichem added: "Being offered to lead the biggest industry player in the Netherlands is an honor and great challenge. Endemol Netherlands has developed from a traditional television producer into a leading multiplatform entertainment company. I’m greatly looking forward to playing a role in the company’s continued growth and while I’m very sad to say farewell to my colleagues at SNP, the time feels right for the next step."
