BBC America Presents Sci-Fi Dramas

LONDON: The science-fiction dramas Being Human, Survivors and Primeval are slated to premiere on BBC America later this year.

Making its U.S. premiere, Being Human takes a look at the lives of three 20-somethings and their secret double-lives as a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost. The series, a BBC America co-production, follows not only the day-to-day issues commonly faced by young people, but also the strange and dark secrets of this trio.

Also airing for the first time in the U.S. is Survivors, focused on the world in the aftermath of a virus that has wiped out 99 percent of the human race. A BBC production, Survivors looks at the lonely few who remain, and how they struggle to start over. The thriller Primeval, an Impossible Pictures production for ITV, returns to BBC America. The show follows evolutionary zoologist Nick Cutter, who discovers prehistoric creatures alive and well and living in present day.
