FOXTEL Picks Up Raft of Granada Fare

SYDNEY, November 26:
Granada International Australia, part of ITV Global Entertainment, has sold
more than 100 hours of programming to Australian pay-TV service FOXTEL for its History, Bio, Fox Classics, CI and The Comedy Channel
offerings.

Included in
the deal are classic films such as the WWII epics Battle Of The River Plate and The
Eagle Has Landed
. Also included
are the comedy Weekend
At Bernie
's and Noel Coward's romantic drama Brief Encounter.

Documentaries
picked up by FOXTEL include The Adventure
of English
, an investigation of the spread and development of the English
language; The Celts, which aims to
cut through the often clichéd images to give a truer picture of Celtic culture;
and Tour of Duty, which uses news
material, reconstructions and actual Ministry of Defense footage to tell the
real story of British and American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.

diverse catalogue has given us the opportunity to choose shows that will have
wide appeal."
