White Upped as Managing Director of Five

LONDON, November 5:
Following his recent six-month stint as interim CEO at Five, Mark White, the
broadcaster's executive director of sales, has been promoted to the new post of
managing director.

During his time as interim
CEO, White oversaw a number of key projects, including a complete refresh of
Five's on- and off-air identity. White joined Five in 1996 as sales controller,
later taking on roles such as deputy sales director. He is also a director for
Thinkbox, the chairman of Clearcast and represents Five on a number of industry
committees. Prior to joining Five, White held a variety of sales roles at
Thames TV and was part of the team that launched UK Gold.

Dawn
Airey, Five's chair and chief executive, said: "Mark has made phenomenal
contribution to Five over the last decade and more, and I am pleased to be able
to formalize his position as my right-hand man. In his new role as managing
director he will work closely with me in restructuring and revitalizing
Five."

White
added: "Five is full of talented people and I'm thrilled to be given the
chance to manage across the business ensuring we maximize every ounce of
potential in the company."
