The Fremantle Corporation Showcasing Veria Catalogue

TORONTO, October 12: More than 800 episodes of
high-definition lifestyle programming from Veria TV joins The Fremantle
Corporation’s MIPCOM slate, which also includes the preschool series Power
Force
and indie films from Westlake
Entertainment.

Titles on offer from the Veria catalogue include The
Genesis of Healing
, which explores the
origins of natural health remedies, therapies and cures from ancient times to
present day; Under the Sun,
investigating natural and organic farming
and foods; Pilates from the Inside Out, a fitness show that helps core strength; and Feng Shui
Living
, which incorporates the principles
of Feng Shui in the home and workplace. Other Veria programs include Simply
Beautiful
, Bedside Manner and The Sweet Truth.

Produced by Canada’s ABS Productions, Power Force follows six magical aliens in their pursuit of
knowledge, peace and good times. Aimed at preschoolers aged 4 to 6, the series
is set for release in spring 2009.

A newly signed deal also sees The Fremantle Corporation
representing 30 films for foreign distribution and 43 films for Canadian
television from Westlake Entertainment. Titles include Mrs. Palfrey at the
Claremont
, featuring Joan Plowright and
Rupert Friend; Collier & Co. Hot Pursuit, starring Smallville’s John
Schneider; and Duck, with Philip
Baker Hall. Also included are The Pacific and Eddy and Mohave Phone Booth.
