Thai Launch for NBCU Global Channel Portfolio

SINGAPORE, October 10: SCI FI, Universal Channel and KidsCo
are all now available in Thailand, NBC Universal Global Networks announced
today, via a partnership with Triple T Network Company.

Triple T Network has
just begun expanding its distribution business in Thailand nationwide following
a track record of representing a number of regional channels in the local cable
industry. This is the fifth territory for SCI FI in the region, the third for
Universal and the eight for KidsCo. Rounding out the NBCU channel slate in Asia
is Hallmark, which has been carried in Thailand for a decade.

“These launches represent a significant
step in reaching even wider audiences in Asia with our strong brands,” said
Roma Khanna, the president of NBC Universal Global Networks & Digital
Initiatives. “These strategic moves underscore the expansion plans of NBC
Universal Global Networks and the global appeal and popularity of our channel
brands.”

“Thailand has a
significant satellite and cable base which continues to grow and represents an
exciting opportunity for our organization,” added Raymund Miranda, the managing
director of NBC Universal Global Networks Asia Pacific. “These three channels
join the Hallmark Channel into Thailand and make this the third market in the
Asia Pacific region with our full suite of channels.”
