Newlywed Competition Returns to ABC

BURBANK, August 28: The
couples-based reality competition Here Come the Newlyweds will return to ABC Television Network for a second season.

In eight episodes, nine
just-married couples face a variety of mental and physical challenges that will
test the love they have for each other. A couple is sent home each episode with
the winners receiving a significant cash prize. Comedian Pat Bullard hosts the
series.

During its freshman season,
Here Come the Newlyweds ranked
number one during Sunday’s 10 p.m. time slot, with 8.1 million total viewers.
It also ranked number one in the 18-to-49 demo.

Executive producers are
Jay Blumenfield and Tony Marsh (The Road to Stardom with Missy Elliott, Dane Cook’s Tourgasm). The series is produced by The Jay and Tony Show
in association with Warner Horizon Television.
