Original Batman Series Scores AmericanLife TV Slot

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 9: U.S. cable outlet AmericanLife TV
Network is featuring the original 1960s Batman series this month in the run-up to the release of the much anticipated
new feature film with Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, The Dark
Knight
.

Episodes, starring Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as
Robin, will air Fridays at 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. EST.

The Emmy-nominated show aired from 1966 to 1968 and spawned
a 1966 feature film version released by Twentieth Century Fox. The series
featured outlandish plots, garish colors and memorable guest stars and
villains, including Cesar Romero as The Joker, Burgess Meredith as The Penguin,
Vincent Price as Egghead and Eartha Kitt as Catwoman.

In addition to Batman,
AmericanLife TV—which focuses on programming for the Baby Boomer
generation—will feature prime-time series highlights this month including
classics such as Mission: Impossible,
St. Elsewhere, Hill
Street Blues
, LA Law, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Newhart,
WKRP in Cincinnati, Lou
Grant
, Combat, Burke's Law, Lost in Space, Trapper
John, MD
, The Honeymooners, The Green Hornet and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

Mark Ringwald, the VP of programming for AmericanLife, said:
