Lionsgate, Power Secure Home-Entertainment Agreement

LONDON, June 17: Lionsgate
UK and Power have concluded a long-term exclusive home-entertainment
distribution partnership, covering the U.K. and Ireland.

Through the deal,
Lionsgate UK will distribute Power’s production slate, which includes XIII:
The Conspiracy
, directed by Duane
Clark (CSI); Pinocchio, an adaptation of the beloved fairytale; Day of
the Triffids
, based on a novel by
John Wyndham; and Ice, among
others. Crusoe, the new 13-part
series based on Daniel Defoe’s classic novel, is also included under the
agreement. This new deal follows on last year’s successful release of Flood.

Chris Philip, the president of worldwide sales at Power, commented, “The appetite
for Power's high-quality programming continues to grow in the
home-entertainment sector and we are pleased that the slate is in good hands
with Lionsgate.”

Andrew Schreiber, Power’s
senior VP of worldwide DVD/video sales and distribution, added, "Lionsgate
has proven itself to be one of the strongest and most creative distributors in
the business, and we're very excited to be expanding our relationship with
them. Together we will be building the home-entertainment sector of the Power
brand with an extraordinary slate of productions over the coming year."

Lionsgate Home
Entertainment’s managing director, Nicola Cartwright, said, “The dynamic
relationship formed between Lionsgate and Power during the release of Flood set a strong platform from which to create a
long-term entrepreneurial partnership. We are thrilled to incorporate Power’s
fantastic production slate into Lionsgate’s growing portfolio. Coupled with growing franchise Weeds and the pending release of award-winning Mad
Men
, this fantastic flow of
product will now see Lionsgate and Power productions seriously step forward in
the TV genre.”
