Family Guy, American Dad Creator Set for Promax/BDA Keynote

LOS ANGELES, April 21:
Seth MacFarlane, the award-winning animator and actor behind FOX’s popular
comedies Family Guy and American
Dad
, has been confirmed as the
creative keynote speaker at this year’s Promax/BDA Conference, set for June 17
to 19 in New York.

Announcing the latest
addition to the Promax/BDA lineup, the organization’s president, Jonathan
Block-Verk, noted: “Seth is a remarkable talent and a catalyst for change
within the television industry. Through his characters and his own experience,
he has a voice that is welcome, a point of view that is relevant and an
approach that connects with our audience both as professionals and fans. He
continually forces us to question the status quo and provide alternatives to
everyday dreck. In the nearly ten years he’s been on air, he has dedicated
himself to art, creativity and storytelling—precisely the elements that
move, motivate and empower the Promax/BDA constituency.”

MacFarlane joins a roster
that also includes Reverend Jesse Jackson; Nicholas Negroponte; Hustler TV’s
president, Michael Klein; and James Lipton, the executive producer, writer and
host of Inside the Actors’ Studio.
