Cartoon Network Preps Theatrical Production

MIAMI, April 17: Cartoon
Network is set to roll out Cartoonival, its first live-action, fully-scripted theatrical production, in
Latin America on May 14.

The 75-minute musical
production will make its debut performance in Caracas, Venezuela, and will tour
several key cities in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico,
Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, among others. Cartoonival features a cast of well-known characters from
Cartoon Network, including The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter and Dee Dee, Hi Hi Puffy
AmiYumi, plus Mac, Bloo and their friends from Foster’s Home for Imaginary
Friends
. The show also introduces
Barnaby B. Brightly, the host and official guardian to the key that unlocks all
the fun in Cartoonival. The new
production is the result of a partnership between Cartoon Network Enterprises
and DT Entertainment.
