DECODE Titles Sell Across Central and Eastern Europe

TORONTO: More than 200 hours of programming deals have already been secured by DECODE Enterprises on titles such as Bo on the GO! and Animal Mechanicals.

Hop! in Romania went for four preschool shows from DECODE. This includes all available episodes of the DECODE Entertainment-produced Franny’s Feet and The Save-Ums!, both seasons of Halifax Films’ Animal Mechanicals and 40 episodes of Halifax Films’ Bo on the GO!, which is to air in Slovenia following a deal with RTV Slovenia.

Media Service Zawada in Poland picked up the home-video rights to Watership Down. Also in Poland, the teen series Girl Stuff, Boy Stuff has been taken on by Canal+ and all 52 episodes of Radio Free Roscoe were sold to Telewizja Polska, with further deals for the series signed with Prava I Prevodi for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia. In Russia, Radio Free Roscoe went to MUZ-TV, while 2 x 2 bagged the young-adult series Bromwell High and Undergrads.

Lara Ilie, the territory manager at DECODE Enterprises, said: “We’re steadily building a significant presence in this market and these deals give us a good position going into DISCOP. The strength of our library is highlighted by the fact that many broadcasters are acquiring all available episodes of many of our shows.”
