D&D Media Group Inks French Deal for Game Show

CANNES, April 9: D&D Media Group has sold the reality game-show
format Eternal Glory to French production outfit ALP (Adventure Line
Productions).

Eternal Glory launched in Belgium on EEN this past January, winning
its time slot and improving the channel’s slot average by 10 points. EEN has
commissioned a second season, which will be filmed later this year.

Filmed on location in a
remote part of Spain, Eternal Glory sees 11 former sports stars compete to determine who will
be crowned Champion of Champions. In each episode, the competitors are faced
with a series of challenges that test team spirit and physical endurance, among
other attributes. The show’s creator and host, Bruno Wyndaele, and a team of experts explain and evaluate
contestants’ behavior. At the end of each episode one competitor is sent home.

D&D Media Group’s CEO,
Marc Dullaert, commented: “I’m extremely pleased with this deal. ALP’s
experience in producing top-rated reality and entertainment formats, combined
with their enthusiasm and understanding of the format, very much impressed me.
France is a great sporting nation and I’ve no doubt that Eternal Glory will become as
big a hit there as it has in Belgium.”

ALP’s head of sales and acquisitions, Matthieu Porte, added, “Eternal
Glory
will be one of the coming year’s big adventure game-show success. Our
purpose is to place it soon in France and make it last as long as Survivor (already eight
series on TF1), Fort Boyard (19 series on France 2) or Treasure Hunt (13 series on
France 3)!”
