Sculpt The Future Productions Launches at MIPTV

CANNES, April 7: David de Rothschild, adventurer
and MIPTV keynote speaker, and Kit Hawkins of Everybody’s Entertainment, have
launched their joint venture, Sculpt The Future Productions, at MIPTV.

The production company is dedicated to socially
conscious content across all media platforms that seek to inspire audiences to
get involved with issues affecting the world. Sculpt
The Future Productions’ first two projects will feature expeditions that de
Rothschild is embarking on. The first film, to be released in May, will
document the issues surrounding e-waste in China. In December, de Rothschild
and his crew will set sail 8,000 miles across the Pacific Ocean in a boat made
out of post-consumer plastic bottles for an adventure called The Plastiki. This film will be co-produced with Renegade Pictures.

Hawkins commented: “We've noticed that
there is an increased demand for differentiated content from existing
broadcasters and other content distributors as well as a desire from brands to
create content that delivers socially-conscious messaging. We're looking to
develop and produce compelling, original short- and long-form entertainment content
to all media platforms and though the content will be focused on
socially-conscious issues, it will be created to appeal to a wider audience”.

Added de Rothschild: “Storytelling is a
thread that runs through the very fabric of humanity; its power to unite and
inspire more socially-conscious living is unrivaled.”
