Eastern Europe Gets New Episodes of Benjamin Bear

OTTAWA, February 6:
Amberwood Productions has licensed an additional 26 half-hour episodes of its
animated children’s series The Secret World of Benjamin Bear to Poland’s HAGI for various Eastern European
territories.

The Secret World of
Benjamin Bear
is targeted at 4- to
8-year-olds and follows the adventures of fun-loving Benjamin Bear as he guides
the irrepressible rookie teddy bear Howie in their quest to help others. And as
part of the lovable but chaotic Tanner household, Benjamin and Howie always
find themselves having to help out their kids Maxwell and Eliza, without them
ever knowing. The series was commissioned by Canada’s Family Channel and has
been licensed to more than 100 territories worldwide.

“This deal will see all
episodes of Benjamin Bear being
made available throughout Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and
Slovakia,” said Jonathan Wiseman, the VP of sales and acquisitions for
Amberwood. “It is extremely meaningful to have a partner like HAGI continue to
be onboard.”
