SPTI, ProSiebenSat.1 Enter Multi-Year Content Agreement

MUNICH/LONDON, January 28:
Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) and ProSiebenSat.1 Group have
signed a multi-year volume deal for current and library feature films and TV
shows for the broadcasting group’s free-to-air channels in Germany, including The
Tudors.

The deal includes the
features Spider-Man 3, The
Pursuit of Happyness, The Da
Vinci Code, Men in Black, My Best Friend’s Wedding and others, as well as the TV series The Tudors and Damages.

Commenting on the
announcement, Guillaume de Posch, the CEO of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, said:
“The contract with Sony Pictures Television International stocks up our
portfolio of rights with some of the most successful theatrical-run productions
of the recent past. It guarantees us long-term access to outstanding TV and
theatrical film highlights, and strengthens our position as a provider of
first-class TV entertainment.”
