VUDU Expands HD Content Through On-Demand Service

LAS VEGAS, January 7: VUDU has announced the addition of 70
high-definition movies to its set-top box’s on-demand offering, all of which
will be available by the end of this month.

The company also said more HD movies would be added to VUDO
over the coming months as studios make their films available. Among the films added
so far are Transformers, The
Italian Job
and War.

The HD titles complement more than 5,000 standard-definition
movies and TV shows currently available from all the major U.S. film studios
and more than 22 independent and international film distributors.

“With today’s announcement, VUDU is continuing to deliver on
its promise to make HD content as simple and convenient for customers to enjoy
as traditional formats,” said Tony Miranz, VUDU’s co-founder and executive VP
of sales and business development. “As more movie fans invest in large-screen
HD televisions, VUDU is pleased to provide an ever-expanding range of
top-quality films formatted specifically for high quality HD viewing.”
