CNN HD Environmental Doc Offered on Multiple Platforms

ATLANTA,
October 23: CNN Worldwide will make its four-hour high-definition documentary Planet
in Peril
, about threats
to the world’s environment, available in its entirety through various digital
platforms and services, including the iTunes Store, Netflix and Amazon.com.

Planet in
Peril
will air over two
nights, starting from today, on CNN in the U.S. from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on
CNN International. It will also be available through iTunes the day after its
linear broadcast as downloadable video for $1.99 per episode. Planet in
Peril
will also be
available on Netflix as a rental DVD, and on Amazon.com as a DVD. Netflix
subscribers are able to place rental requests now for Planet in Peril, with delivery scheduled after the
program's debut on CNN/U.S. Visitors to www.amazon.com/planetinperil can place
preorders today for the Planet in Peril DVD set in standard definition for $29.95, with
delivery scheduled after the program's debut.

On mobile
platforms, Sprint cell phone users will be able to watch the live broadcast of Planet
in Peril
today and
tomorrow, through CNN Mobile Live, which is available on Sprint TV. Planet
in Peril
has also been
made available for cable television on-demand platforms.

On Sunday,
October 21, CNN offered exclusive, advance screenings of a 40-minute excerpt of
Planet in Peril at
Apple stores in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and London.
At the screenings, representatives involved in the documentary's production,
including CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, CNN's chief medical correspondent, Dr.
Sanjay Gupta, Animal Planet host and wildlife biologist Jeff Corwin and CNN producers and
executives were on hand to discuss the making of this four-hour documentary,
filmed across four continents and 13 countries. In Planet in Peril, Cooper, Gupta and Corwin will focus on
four main issues that threaten the planet and its inhabitants: climate change,

There will also
be special reporting related to the investigation, which will be available
across multiple CNN Worldwide networks and platforms, including an exclusive
