BBC Food Adds New Culinary Acquisitions for African Feed

LONDON, May 21: BBC Food has acquired a raft of new culinary
series for premiere on its African feed this winter, including Cooked:
Weekends Away,
which is set in southern
Africa.

Produced by Cooked In Africa Films, Cooked: Weekends Away
features adventurous food lover Justin
Bonello, who travels around southern Africa cooking simple, but delicious,
meals in sometimes very surprising circumstances. BBC Food has also picked up New
Scandinavian Cookery with Andreas,
which is
hosted by chef Andreas Viestad, and showcases Scandinavian culture and history
against the backdrop of the Norwegian country. The series is produced by Tellus
Work and distributed by APT Worldwide.

BBC Food has also acquired the series Chef At Home, which is produced by Cellar Door. The series is
hosted by Michael Smith, who demonstrates how to create simple, flavorful meals
for friends and family. In each episode, Smith improvises a meal from what he
finds in his own fridge and pantry.

BBC Food is available in Scandinavia, the Middle East and
Africa.
