Blueprint Launches Kids’ Arm

LOS ANGELES/TORONTO, May 10: Just one week since taking a
stake in Oasis International, Blueprint Entertainment has further ramped up its
activities with the launch of Blueprint Kids, which will be helmed by Frank
Saperstein.

As senior VP of animation and children’s programming,
Saperstein will lead the new division, dedicated to the development, production
and rights management of family and children’s programming. Saperstein is an
award-winning writer, producer, director and development consultant with over
20 years of experience. Prior to joining Blueprint, he was the creative
director of PASI (Philippine Animation Studio Inc.) Before joining PASI, he
served as a producer/director and development consultant for VH1/MTV Networks.
Previously, he was at Matinee Entertainment, where he served as
producer/writer/director of Kampung Boy. Other
credits include Bob and Margaret, Kong: The Animated Series and Captain Flamingo, among others. Saperstein will report to chairman
and CEO John Morayniss and is based at the company’s Los Angeles offices.

Blueprint is not new to the kids’ genre, having produced a
number of series, including Shoebox Zoo (a
co-production with the BBC) and
the recently launched animated series Iggy Arbuckle, a co-production with National Geographic.
