Alliance Atlantis Secures New Deals for Lunar Jim

LONDON, April 6: Alliance Atlantis
International Content Distribution has secured a number of new merchandising
and licensing deals for the popular stop-motion animated series Lunar Jim, which has now been sold to more than 100 territories.

Lunar Jim recently
launched on Nickelodeon in the Netherlands and Belgium, RTE in Ireland, Hungama
TV in India, TV2 in Denmark and V-me in the U.S.

In the U.K., licensing agent BBC Worldwide continues to sign
up new licensees for the series, including Martin Yaffe; BBC Audiobooks
Limited; Cohen & Wilks International Ltd.; Cooneen & Misirli Licensing
Limited (C & M); Jolly Roger Limited; Trade Mark Collections Limited; Titan
Publishing Group Ltd.; and Portico Designs Limited. Australian licensing agent
ABC also continues to secure new licensees, including Pan Macmillan Australia
Pty Ltd., Designworks and Impact Rock Merchandise Pty.

In addition, new licensing agents have been appointed on the
merchandising and licensing side, including The Copyright Promotions Licensing
Group Limited (CPLG) in France and Benelux and Kidz Entertainment in
Scandinavia.

In terms of new product line rollouts, the third DVD, Lunar
Jim: Moona Luna Adventures, will launch
this spring. Following the publishing launch in October 2006, a second range of
books, comprised of five titles, from The Penguin Group and BBC Children’s
Books hit U.K. shelves in February. The new line of toys hits shelves this
spring in the U.K., following the success of the line of Fisher-Price toys that
rolled out in Canada and the U.S. in August 2006.

Recently greenlit for a second season and currently in
production, Lunar Jim, a co-production
between DHX Media’s Halifax Film unit and Alliance Atlantis, is targeted at
preschoolers and promotes problem-solving skills through persistence,
creativity and cooperation. The second season will feature three brand new
characters: an intergalactic mailbot who whizzes around the universe,
delivering mail; Skye, a space cadet-in-training and Yik Yak, a hilarious and
unpredictable alien. The three
will join in the adventures of the gang living in the lunar village of Moona
Luna.
